Drunken guard arrested

OLONGAPO City – Pandemonium broke out when a drunken security guard fired his handgun on a hilltop at the Olongapo Cemetery, causing residents visiting their loved ones to panic Thursday afternoon.

Police said the suspect,. Marlon Maghanoy, 32, of 92 Upper Kalaklan, was arrested by operatives of Police Station 1 led by Senior Insp. Cesar Cabling and Insp. Alfredo Solomon of the Olongapo City Mobile Group.

Investigations said the security guard got jealous with his wife for an unclear reason and drank liquor. He then fired his handgun several times.

Police recovered from the suspect a snub nose, 38 revolver (paltik) anf four shells.
Maghanoy was detained at Police Station 1 detention cell, facing charges of violation of the Comelec gun ban, illegal possession of firearm and ammunition and indiscriminate firing of a gun.
