The six nursing students who brought home the bacon are also scholars of the city government. They are Monte Ray Cruz (team captain), Mark Rosal, Shaila Nazareno, Alvin Herilla, Richard Nico De Leon and Jose Gedaria with Jujen Gomez and Idy Caba as their advisers.

According to Dean Randy Concepcion of Allied Medical Studies of Gordon College, the college was able to join the said competition ‘by invitation’.
