Knightsbridge International and Wheelchair Foundation Donate Wheelchairs
Knightsbridge International and Wheelchair Foundation of USA donated hundreds of wheelchairs to Filipinos with disabilities last January 23, 2008 at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City.
Through the efforts of City Mayor James "Bong" Gordon, Jr., thirty (30) differently-abled Olongapeños benefited from the donated wheelchairs.
Accompanied by Mayor Gordon and Olongapo First Lady and Zambales Vice Governor Anne Marie Gordon, two (2) of the thirty (30) beneficiaries from Olongapo City and Zambales personally received their wheelchairs from Sir Edward Artis of the Knightsbridge International and Ken Behring of the Wheelchair Foundation of USA during the turn-over ceremony at Camp Aguinaldo.
Some dignitaries also graced the event including former President Fidel Ramos, Senator Richard Gordon and Armed forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief Hermogenes Esperon.
The Wheelchair Foundation of USA and the Knightsbridge International are both international non-profit organizations dedicated to humanitarian missions.
