Reyes, New City Tourism Officer

Mayor Bong Gordon has appointed Ma. Kathrina Salumbides – Reyes as the new City Tourism Officer.

"Reyes' extensive exposure in tourism and business-related affairs is significant in our pursuit to further and effectively boost our tourism industry," Mayor Gordon said.

The City Tourism Office now headed by Reyes has already lined up various activities for the upcoming summer events to attract more tourists to visit Olongapo.

Reyes worked in huge companies and different government offices right after college. She became a Product Specialist of Neways International, Inc., Senior Project Coordinator in GMA 7 Network, Inc., Senior Marketing Officer and Executive Assistant of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), Freeport Service Corporation, Officer-in-Charge (OIC) in the Zambales Provincial Planning and Development Office and Division Head of the Zambales Provincial Tourism and Investment Promotions Office. She has also had exposures in foreign countries including Singapore, United States of America, Malaysia and China where she represented the companies and government entities she was affiliated with.

Reyes finished both BA Economics and BA Psychology in the University of the Philippines Diliman/UP College Baguio in 1998. She also earned a Master's Degree in Public Administration/Educational Management in the University of the Philippines Extension Program in Olongapo City in 2006.

In 2000, Reyes was Bb. Pilipinas candidate representing Olongapo and Zambales.
