On Target
The Presidential Anti-Smuggling Task Force (PASG), one of the few remaining trustworthy agencies in the Arroyo administration, is under fire from a presidential ally.
GMA’s political ally wants the agency disbanded for going after smugglers at the Subic Freeport.
Not that Undersecretary Antonio Villar, PASG chief, minds. He even taunts the President’s ally to have him removed.
It’s only Villar who can reportedly turn down requests from Mike Arroyo, the President’s husband, who allegedly wanted the PASG chief to go “easy” on some smuggler-friends.
“I didn’t seek this job in the first place,” Villar said. Attaboy!
