A better life for our people

Faith and Hope are the emotions that are conveyed by the Resurrection. The travail of Jesus on his road to Calvary and his eventual triumph over death on Easter Sunday are religious events most solemnly observed by us Christian Filipinos.

In our national life, faith and hope are necessary to encourage us to strive for a better life for our people amidst many trials and tribulations.

We should reach down into the deep foundations of our religious beliefs to gain the strength to unravel the truth. To act upon it with determination so that we shall be able to bestow upon our children and the succeeding generations a life of dignity, justice and prosperity.

The Filipino has the strength, the courage, the wisdom and the fortitude to overcome his difficulties and take its rightful place in the front ranks of the advanced stable countries of the world. All we have to do is to learn the lessons of Lent and of Jesus’ triumph over suffering and death.
