Filipino doc, 2 foreigners die in Olongapo van fire
A Filipino doctor and two foreigners died Saturday after their van caught fire following an explosion in Olongapo City. A fourth victim suffered third-degree burns because of the blast.
Police identified the victims as Dr. Teresita Marcaida, 52; Brian Joseph, 44, a Chinese-Indian national; and Jessie Ginez, the van’s driver, 31.
Pritu Kumar Mukherjee, 67, an Indian-American national and stepfather of Joseph from the United States, was brought to the James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital to be treated for third degree burns.
The victims were on board a Mitsubishi FB L-200 van when the blast took place along the national road in Barangay Kalaklan around 1 p.m.

The van lost control and fell into a ditch near a cemetery.
