JAPAN NEEDS OLONGAPO CAREGIVERS
Olongapo City Mayor James "Bong" Gordon, Jr. announced during the flag raising ceremonies of city officials and employees that the Japanese Government wants to hire caregivers from the city.
“It’s good news that the Japanese government will be hiring caregivers from our city. It’s nice to realize that the Japanese are considering our ability knowing that they have high-standards,” Mayor Gordon said.
In a recent meeting of Mayor Gordon and Japanese Parliament member Yoshitaka Murata, the latter expressed the plan of the Japanese government to hire caregivers from Olongapo City.
In connection with this, Mayor Gordon directed the administrators of Gordon College to strengthen its caregiving program to ensure that world class quality of Olongapeño-caregivers is sustained.
Japan is composed mainly of an aging population, hence, they are hiring caregivers from other countries such as the Philippines. PAO/REM
