DHL strengthens Subic Unit

DHL yesterday reported it is strengthening the operations of the DHL Subic Service Center.
The unit offers customized services, rates and later shipment cut-offs to companies based at the Subic, clark and Bataan economic zones.

These streamlined services aim to help exporters and importers efficiently manage urgent supply chain requirements.

Subic Service Center customers are guaranteed shorter transit times and same day delivery of inbound or outbound shipments that have been cleared at the DHL Manila Gateway.

In addition to these, manufacturers, importers, exporters and multinational companies with volume heavy and time-sensitive supply chain turn-arounds such as Sanyo Denki, Lindberg, Royal Duty Free and Harris Stratex will also benefit from other world-class products, e-communication tools and real-time shipment monitoring and tracking from DHL.

Launched in mid-2007 to supplement the company’s existing services in the region, the Subic Service Center has become a major shipment facility in Bataan and the Buffer Triangle. It currently handles 29% of DHL’s Northern Luzon inbound and outbound shipments.

The 1,000 sq. meter facilities include a warehouse, distribution and shipment holding area, and office to expedite transactions. Aside from its Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA), the shipment center employees the newest tracking, distribution and inventory systems.

The PhP13.1 million state-of-the-art Subic Service Center is expected to help draw in more business for North Luzon investors. “DHL believes in the potential of North Luzon Triangle. The region’s strategic location, infrastructure development and facilities make it an ideal location for investors.
DHL hopes that through its focused efforts and enhanced services it can help North Luzon customers efficiently manage supply chain requirements and grow their businesses,” said Ahmad Mohamad, DHL Express country manager.
