PUBLIC MARKET GROOMS FOR ESEA

In line with the preparations for the East and Southeast Asia (ESEA) Conference, the Olongapo City Public Market is currently undergoing repairs and reorganization.

Several meetings with vendors have already been made within the past few weeks to discuss the changes being made in the public market’s set-up and organization.

Mayor James “Bong” Gordon Jr., laid out his plans for the public market during the flag-raising ceremony on August 11, 2008.

“Ang public market natin should be a symbol of commerce, katulad ng Petronas Twin Towers sa Malaysia at ng World Trade Center sa New York.

Mayor Gordon recently visited the public market and inspected the newly installed sound system. According to Mayor Gordon, this will help to improve the atmosphere at the market.
