CITY FIESTA QUEEN 2008 FIRST CANVASSING, BARANGAY BARRETTO CANDIDATE LEADS
Barangay Barretto candidate, Priscilla Kimberly Dela Cruz emerged first in the first canvassing of the 2008 City Fiesta Queen search held at the Rizal Triangle Multi-Purpose Covered Court on October 17, 2008 .
Ms. Dela Cruz,one of the 17 candidates of the different barangays in Olongapo City, was awarded Ms. Philippine Festival Night Queen, which is the theme of the celebration, for topping the canvassing.
Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr. congratulated the participants and contributors for their time and money to make the occasion possible. Mayor Gordon said that the city fiesta queen search is conducted every year for a “worthy cause, a fiesta for progress and a major event”.

“Ang City Fiesta natin is a fund raising fiesta, a fiesta for progress, ito’y mapupunta sa mga proyekto ng ating Lungsod, andyan ang edukasyon at pangkabuhayan, para lahat yan sa mga taga Olongapo,” Mayor Gordon explained.
The second canvassing is set on November 14, 2008.
