STREET LIGHTING PROJECT IN OLONGAPO!
The street lighting project of Mayor James ‘Bong’ Gordon Jr. on the major thoroughfares of the city and to further improve the peace and order situation and encourage business and tourism.
“In the next few weeks, magsisimula na ring umilaw ang buong Rizal Avenue. From end to end hanggang doon sa hospital (JLGMH). Dapat we should take care of it,” Mayor Gordon said.
And hopefully kung yung tax collection will continue, mapapailaw natin yung mga other main avenues para maliwanag,” added Mayor Gordon.
Mayor Gordon also called the attention of business establishment owners, particularly those whose buildings extend beyond their lot areas into the streets, making it difficult to align the street lights and their foundations.
In line with this, Mayor Gordon also reinforced the anti-graffiti/vandalism campaign. “We are preparing for a major conference, the East and Southeast Asia Conference (ESEA), kaya importante na mai-ayos natin ito. Dapat masabihan ang mga businessmen to spruce up their establishments.”
