ESEA CONFERENCE IN OLONGAPO CITY!

It’s all systems go for the 16th East and South East Asian Conference from November 19 to 21, 2008 at the Subic Bay Exhibition Center (SBEC) at Subic Bay Freeport Zone (SBFZ).

In connection with this, Mayor James ‘Bong’ Gordon Jr. asked for the cooperation and help of Olongapenos to make this event successful, as Olongapo is the host city for the said event.

“All eyes of the international community will be on us kaya dapat pag-igihin pa natin ang ating mga gawain para maging matagumpay ang ESEA conference,” explained Mayor Gordon.

“Magprepare tayo, let us put our best foot forward, nago-observe ang international community kung paano ang performance natin sa pagho-host ng event na ito. Yung mga barangays dapat mag-prepare dahil bibisitahin ng mga mayors from different countries pati kaloob-looban ng mga barangay,” said Mayor Gordon.

“Kaya tayo napili dahil we have been performing very well at patunay ang mga awards na natatangap natin. I am happy to announce na since winning these awards for the past few months, kabilang na Most Competitive City, tumaas ang revenue ng city up to 15%,” Mayor Gordon added.

The ESEA Conference is themed “Local Government Development: Searching for Ideal Communities.” This is the 6th time that the ESEA Conference will be held in the Philippines.

ESEA aims to promote innovative ways in local government administration and exchange of information between member cities regarding effective ways of local government administration.
