PGMA IN SBFZ
President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo visited the Subic Bay Freeport Zone (SBFZ) on November 6, 2008 for several events and activities.
PGMA guested at the inauguration of the new fuel-additives blending plant of Petron in the SBFZ which will serve as the blending plant for the customers of Innospec in the entire Asia Pacific region. Innospec has an agreement with Petron which established the $2.5 million blending plant.
It is expected that Petron’s revenue will increase because of the new blending plant in the SBFZ. Petron has signed a ten (10) year contract as Innospec’s exclusive toll blender.
PGMA was joined by local government officials of Bataan, Zambales, and Olongapo led by Olongapo City Mayor James “Bong’ Gordon Jr., Bataan Governor Enrique Garcia, and Zambales Governor Amor Deloso at the inauguration.
Meanwhile, PGMA was the keynote speaker at the 20th Local Peace and Security Assemblies (LPSA) on November 6 at the Legenda Hotel, SBFZ.
The LPSA is one of the government’s tools to restructure the approach to developing the peace and order situation of the country as well as developing solutions and action approaches to the different peace and order problems faced by the various local government units and stakeholders.
