Zameco II forms interim board of directors

CASTILLEJOS, Zambales – While the case of Zambales Electric Cooperative ll is pending with the Supreme Court, consumers filed a resolution creating an Interim Board of Directors and appointing members and urging an immediate elections so as not to disrupt the operation of the cooperatives.

Earlier the mayors of Subic, Castillejos, San Marcelino, San Antonio, San Narciso, San Felipe and Cabanggan and members of the cooperative as well consumers staged a six-day rally that ended yesterday.

The new Interim Board of Directors of ZAMECO ll, took their oath of office before Gov. Amor Deloso. They were Ryan Gonzales of Subic, Dominador Gallardo of Castillejos, Antonio Escobar of San Marcelino, Dr. Leo Lonzanida of San Antonio, Luperio Villanueva of San Narciso, Delfin Francia of San Felipe, and Joe Marie Jamili of Cabangan.

Edita Bueno of the National Electrification Administration confirmed the designation of Alvin Farrales as Interim general manager vice Fidel Correa, the incumbent general manager of ZAMECO ll.

Castillejos Mayor Wilma Billman said the registration of ZAMECO ll from the Cooperative Development Authority is illegal.

“Hindi ito dumaan sa tamang proseso, at yung kanilang mga board of directors ay may 24-taon nang naka-upo ng walang eleksyon,” Billman said.

An anonymous director said he will wait for the Court of Appeals decision. “Kaya hindi kami nagre-resign at nagaantay lamang kami ng desisyon ng korte”. By: Mamer Bañez - Journal Online

Now I have to really think about what I say here ;) I think it's important for people to also think about how powerful an effect comments can have, especially for new bloggers. A comment is both a validation that someone has read the content and connected with it - that can inspire someone to continue on, or if too negative, make others consider shutting down.
