Lyceum Subic Tops Customs Broker Licensure Exam

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced that 254 out of 1,108 passed the Customs Broker Licensure Examination which was given by the Board for Customs Brokers in Manila, Cebu and Davao last October 2008.

Hazel Ann Binaday Uson of Lyceum Subic Bay, Inc. topped the examinations with a score of 90.75 followed by Ma Gina Sumando Menil with 89.25 and Jardine Muyot Gerodias with 88.75. Menil and Gerodias were both from Philippine Maritime Institute (PMI) -Manila.

PRC said the members of the Board for Customs Brokers who gave the recent licensure examination were Mr. Constantino L. Calica, chairman and Atty. Ferdinand A. Nague, member.

PRC said the results were released in three working days after the last day of the examination

The registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on Monday, November 10, 2008 but not later than November 21, 2008, said PRC.

Those who will register are required to bring the following:
duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal,
current Community Tax Certificate (cedula),
2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag),
1 piece 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete name tag),
2 sets of metered documentary stamps, and
1 short brown envelope with name and profession
They should also pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2008-2011.


PRC said that successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees meanwhile is set to be held before the Board on December 1, at 1:00 p.m. at the Centennial Hall, Manila Hotel, One Rizal Park, Manila.

Those who have passed the previous licensure examinations and who have not taken their Oath of Professional are also encouraged to join.
