Water cross Challenge draws top Jet Ski riders

TOP CALIBER Jet Ski riders gather a new for another round of exciting showdowns for the titles at stake today in the 1st Subic Watercross Challenge set tomorrow at the Waterfront Beach of the Subic Bay Freeport.

The intricate course design will be a big test to the talent and strategy of competing riders, thus adding spice to the brewing rivalries in this event made possible by Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority Administrator Armand Arreza and Deputy Administrator for Tourism Raul Marcelo and sponsored by SBMA, Courtyard Inn, Gerry’s Grill, Networx Auto Detailing Intermatrix Inc. Joey4xForce and Networx Jetsports.

Leading the cast are three-time Rider of the Year Paul del Rosario, BJ Ang and Jam Mangio who will be tapping this race as a tune up for their forthcoming stint in the Thailand King’s Cup Jet Ski this December.

Del Rosario, fresh from his stint in the World Jet Ski Finals in Lake Havasu, Arizona, will be gunning for the titles in the premier Expert Runabout 1200 Open Unlimited and the Expert Open Ski classes aboard his reliable Kawasaki watercrafts.

Ang is eyeing a second straight triumph in the Expert Runabout Stock division up against Robbie David and Carlo Garcia, while Mango aims to fortify her billing as the country’s ace female rider as she looks forward to another big win in the Women’s Runabout class against Networx Jetsports teammates Abby Reyes and talented newcomer Valerie Sia.

Among the other title hopefuls for the titles at stake in this race organized by the Jet Sports Association of the Philippines under its president Dong Arcilla and race Director Joey Millionado are Tigbauan, Iloilo Mayor Excel Torres, Austrian rider Helbert Mair, who’s aiming to prevail a new in the Open Novice Ski and Networx Jetsports new recruit Meynard Ko who’s seeking another impressive feat in the Novice 4-Strokes division.
