CITY FIESTA RAFFLE WINNERS

The Olongapo City Fiesta Raffle Draw was held recently at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Session Hall led by 2008 Olongapo City Fiesta Committee Chairperson City Councilor Ellen Dabu, witnessed by Barangay Councilmen, coordinators and Sangguniang Panlungsod employees.

“I’d like to thank all Olongapeños, barangay officials and the city government of Olongapo for the efforts they have rendered for the success of the City Fiesta. The proceeds of this project will benefit the various programs of the city especially on livelihood and education,” Councilor Dabu said.

The tickets were drawn with the assistance of Merope G. Tala, coordinator of Barangay Mabayuan, Brgy. East Bajac-Bajac Councilor Ronald Villegas and Brgy. Barretto Councilor Bethsaida Albarda respectively.

Meanwhile on Monday, June 22, 2009 the prizes were handed over to the winners by Mayor James Gordon, Jr. and Execom Chair Councilor Ellen Dabu during the flag raising ceremony at the Rizal Triangle Multi-Purpose Center.

The lucky winners are :

Ist Prize -Rowena Ecijan of #8 Bacon St., East Tapinac, Olongapo City, P50,000.

2nd Prize-Jonalisa Jimenez of Legenda Hotel, SBMA, P25,000.

3rd Prize- Donna Mae Ague of #9 Mercury St., Purok 7, New Cabalan, Olongapo City, P15,000.

The City Fiesta raffle draw is one of the traditional part of the Olongapo City Fiesta celebrations apart from the city parade and the City Fiesta Queen search.

Mayor James Gordon, Jr. hands over the cash prize of fifty thousand pesos (P50,000) to Ms. Rowena Ecijan of #8 Bacon St. East Tapinac Olongapo City, the City Fiesta raffle draw first prize winner with East Tapinac Barangay Captain Benjamin Franco, City Fiesta Execom Chair Councilor Ellen Dabu and Councilor Gina Perez as witnesses during the flag raising ceremony on June 22, 2009 at the Rizal Triangle Multi-purpose Center.
