“200 Olongapeño Call Center Agents”

As a result of the efforts of Olongapo City Mayor James “Bong” Gordon on skills trainings and job fairs being conducted by call center companies, the Sutherland Global Services will be hiring another 200 call center agents from the City.

“We are overwhelmed by the assistance being given to us by the City Government of Olongapo that’s why we decided to hire Olongapeños again” said Gary Navida, a representative from Sutherland. “We also have plans on establishing a call center here”, he added. The company also decided to hire Olongapeños because of their impressive performance and dedication to the company.

Mayor James “Bong” Gordon has tasked the Olongapo Skills Training Center (OSTC) and the City’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO) to facilitate trainings and job fairs to assure that Olongapeños would be well-informed and well-equipped on their job search.

“This is only one of Mayor Gordon’s programs to fight unemployment in the city due to the Global Financial Crisis” City Councilor Edwin Piano, director of the Olongapo City Skills Training Center said.

The interviews for applicants are being entertained at the Olongapo Skills Training Center, 3rd Floor, City Hall Annex, Olongapo City.
