City expresses sympathy over Ka Erdy’s demise

With City Resolution No. 122 (series of 2009) entitled “A Resolution of Sympathy and Solidarity to the Administration, Ministers and Faithful of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) Worldwide Ministry,” the city government expresses it’s words of condolences to the members of INC on the demise of their leader, Eraño “Ka Erdy Manalo.

“The people of Olongapo are extending their commiseration to the members of INC and we are hoping for the continuous stability of this religious organization despite this unfortunate situation,” said Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr.

Ka Erdy who passed away last week at the age of 84 due to a heart disease served as the executive minister of INC for almost 5 decades. Almost 50,000 followers from different areas in the country attended Ka Erdy’s interment as he was laid to rest at the INC Central Compound in Commonwealth, Quezon City last September 7, 2009.
