Olongapo Public Cemetery cleaned-up by volunteers
Volunteers from different organizations of Olongapo City cleaned the public cemetery in Kalaklan in preparation for next week's Piestang Patay.
City Health Department Head Dr. Arnie Tamayo was assisted by 200 strong members of Bagumbayan volunteers led by Councilor Edwin Piano. Most of those who participated are from the Olongapo Skills Training Center - Gordon College. Representatives from different barangays and other NGOs are also present to give hand in the clean-up.
"Relatives of the dead who will troop to the cemetery will be surprised once they see that their loved one's niches including the surrounding is clean." said a welder while hauling bag loads of garbage taken out of the area.
