Traveling Science Centrum is in Olongapo City
The City Government of Olongapo and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Olongapo-Zambales Office are inviting everyone to visit the Science Centrum, the first interactive museum in the country, at Sam’s Pizza Playland from November 4 to December 4, 2009.
A traveling exhibition of the Philippine Science Centrum, said interactive museum aims to promote better understanding of science and technology, especially for kids and students.
Among the featured exhibits that kids can enjoy are the Anti-Gravity Mirror, Amazing Cake, Animal Sounds, Bernoulli Blower, Bicycle Wheel Gyro, Bird in a Cage, Calypso Reef, Changing Colors, Color or Words, Colored Shadows, Cyclone, Electric Fleas, Finger Tingler, Frozen Shadows, Gravity Well, Jacob’s Ladder, Laser Display, Look into Infinity, Magnetic field, Momentum Machine, Money Detector, Musical pipes, Optic Land, Pedal generator, Plasma Sphere, Pupil of the Eye, Radiometer, Rainbow Curtain, Ring Bubbles, Rope Puzzles, Shoot the ball, Subjective Shapes, Symmetroscope, Talk and Listen, Thompson ring, Tiny Bubbles, Whirlpool, You and Me Are One and the Zoetrope interactive.
“This Science Centrum will help children to understand and at the same time enjoy and explore the wonders and application of science,” said Mayor James “Bong” Gordon Jr.
