JCI WEEK LAUNCHED IN OLONGAPO
Jaycees International (JCI) Philippines launched this year’s JCI week in Olongapo City.
“We are very grateful and honored to have been chosen as the venue for the National Board meeting and the launching of JCI Week considering that we have just revived JCI Olongapo City chapter,” said JCI, Olongapo City Chapter President Atty. Angelito Orozco.
Orozco added that, “it’s an affirmation of the faith, trust and support of JCI Philippines to the newly reorganized JCI Olongapo City and hopefully through the support of our past presidents and members we would be able to keep alive the spirit of leadership, civic consciousness for the city. This is the start of something good for JCI Olongapo and for the constituents of the city as well”.
Meanwhile, right after the motorcade as part of JCI Week, the national officerof JCI Philippines made a courtesy call to Mayor James Gordon, Jr. at the Admiral Royale Building. “I’d like to extend my congratulations to the President of JCI Olongapo chapter and I hope that we will have more partnership in terms of serving our fellow Olongapeño and let’s continue fighting for excellence, Mayor Bong Gordon said.
JCI Senator Bernard Faustino Dy, national executive vice president said, “Olongapo chapter is very active, you have hosted the National Convention in 2006 and have exerted great efforts to bring about positive change in the City of Olongapo.”
The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Week is one of the flagship projects of the JCI Phils. which has been observed yearly by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 160 dated March 31, 1993 issued by former president Fidel V. Ramos.
An annual celebration of the JCI organization, JCI Week aims to manifest and honor leadership excellence among JCI members nationwide.
