GARANTISADONG PAMBATA - 10 WAYS TO SAVE YOUR CHILD
Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr. and First Lady and Zambales Vice Governor Anne Gordon through the Olongapo City Health Office (CHO) have intensified the implementation of programs and activities that reduce child deaths and ensure survival among children through the Garantisadong Pambata Campaign.
The Garantisadong Pambata Campaign will be observed throughout the month of April in the seventeen (17) barangays in the city, with the theme: “Garantisadong Pambata - 10 Ways to Save Your Child.” The services offered are as follows:
-Libreng bakuna para sa mga sanggol at mga buntis
-Libreng Vitamin A laban sa pagkabulag para sa mga batang 1 hanggang 5 taong gulang
-Libreng Ferrous sulfate tablets laban sa anemia para sa mga buntis at mga bata
-Pagpapalaganap ng kaalaman at kaugalian ukol sa wastong nutrisyon para sa mga bata
-Pagpapalaganap ng paggamit sa IODIZED SALT para maiwasan ang bosyo
-Libreng pagtitimbang sa mga bata hanggang 5 taong gulang
-Pagpapalaganap ng wastong pangangalaga sa ngipin
-Pagpapalaganap ng paggamit ng ligtas at educational toys
-Pagpapalaganap ng tamang pangangalaga sa malinis na katawan
-Paggamit ng mga kulambo laban sa malaria.
Activities for the Garantisadong Pambata Campaign kicked-off on April 5, 2010 at the FMA Hall of Olongapo City Hall where essential package of health services and relevant health information were delivered to all children ages 6-71 months.
City Nutritionist, Rich Torralba is inviting parents to bring their children six (6) months to five (5) years old to the nearest health facility for Garantisadong Pambata package services.
