MAYOR GORDON: CITY GOV’T EMPLOYEES MANGUNA SA KALINISAN
To attract more tourists and make the surroundings more conducive to livein for Olongapo residents, Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr. has urged the employees of the Olongapo City Government to lead in the clean-up operation of the city.
‘’Tiyakin ang kalinisan ng lungsod. Back to normal na dapat,’’ Mayor Gordon said. That statement was with regards with the recent 2010 Elections where posters, streamers, tarpaulins and other campaign paraphernalia practically swamped the city.
‘’Ito ay makatutulong sa kampanya sa higit pang pagpapasigla ng turismo mas magiging kaakit-akit ang Olongapo para sa mga turista kung mapapanatiling malinis ang kabuuan ng lungsod kasama na ang mga tourist attractions. Meron pang panahon para humabol sa summer vacations,’’ he added.
Mayor Gordon has already directed the Environmental Sanitation and Management Office (ESMO) and the Officials of the seventeen (17) barangays to lead the clean-up operations in their respective areas right after the national and local elections.
Every Olongapeno is expected to take part and do their share as responsible citizens to help out our city mayor and officials of the city government in their pursuit to maintain the cleanliness of Olongapo.
