Man saved from electrocution in Sta Rita

A mentally distressed man was save from being electricuted last Friday. Thanks to the quick reaction, effective communication and coordination of concerned individuals.
While having lunch at city hall complex, Ed Piano recieved call from Sta. Rita coordinator Maricel Bernardino that a man climbed an electrical post in the corner of Amapola and Camia street. Sta Rita Rescue team and PNP station 5 personnel were the first to dispatch. The rescuers were franctically trying to reach the Public Utility Department to ensure the safety of both the victim and rescuers but PUD could not be reached by telephone. Ed Piano then hurriedly went to the PUD office to personally advice PUD supervisors of the situation and requested to isolate power in the area. He then proceeded to Amapola street to personally assist in the effort.

The unselfish act of individuals involved in the said incident saved a life and possible damage to property and disruption of electric service in the area.

Heroes in everyday life, deserves a tap in the back.
