Thank your for your comment, and it really deserve a few clarifications:

First, the article is NOT a warning about rape and children abduction, it's intention is to warn the public about the bogus text messages circulating around the city.

Second, the mayor from Subic DID NOT send students home. To qoute a phrase from the article, "according to the circulating text (message), Mayor Konghun already ordered Subic Schools to suspend classes" . The mayor was actually surprised upon learning that the students are getting out of school purportedly due to his orders. He had this rectified and made public clarifications which was repeatedly aired over STV6 to ensure that public is properly informed.

Even Mayor Gordon made various clarifications and appealed for the public to stop passing these bogus text messages, he made this appeal not only in local radio and TV but also over ABS-CBN and in all his public appearances.

Third, the news that there are policemen at schools in Gordon Heights this morning is true. This is to investigate an unconfirmed report that four female elementary students were abducted this morning. As it turned out, and as expected, its was proven to be another false-alarm. According to Precint Commander, Pollice Inspector Camilo Pablo, they checked all the classrooms, if there are students who failed to report to class, they then visited the residents of these absent students to verify their whereabouts. As of 3pm this afternoon, a joint report was released by Gordon Heights High School Principal Mrs Sagun and Elementary Principal Mrs Saguitan together with official police report signed by Inspector Pablo that there is no truth to the rumor of students abducted from Gordon Heights Schools.

We hope that this clarifies the issue at hand and for your family to proceed with your planned vacation. Please feel free to contact us if you have other concerns.
