Tiger airways to add flight in Clark
CLARK FIELD, Pampanga (PNA) - Officials of Clark Development Corporation (CDC) announced that Tiger Airways, Singapore's low cost airline, will add one more flight at the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) starting April 26 after the airline was given a six months permit to operate in Clark.
CDC Executive Vice President Victor Jose I. Luciano said the additional flight will bring to three flights a day for Tiger Airways' bound for Singapore, twice daily and a daily flight to Macau.
Luciano was informed by Tiger Airways Chief Executive Officer Tony Davis about the airline's optimism after it was given another six months permit issued by the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB).
Luciano said the new flight leaves at 07:10 a.m. from Singapore and arrives in the Philippines at 10:45 a.m. Seat sales for this new flight will be US$ 49.98 one way (excluding taxes).
According to reports received by Luciano's office in CDC, Tiger Airways has achieved an average 80 percent load factor from its Clark-Singapore route since the airline started its operations in April last year.
Davis said the airline is pleased to be adding more capacity on this popular route with the airline's affordable air fares.
Luciano said that more overseas Filipino workers will be able to travel more frequently between the city-state and the Philippines and its nearby country - Malaysia.
With the new double daily service, Tiger Airways is one of the largest International airlines to serve the Philippines, Davis said.
