LACBAIN LEADS ANOTHER MEDICAL- DENTAL MISSION

ZAMBALES VICE GOV. LACBAIN LEADS ANOTHER MEDICAL- DENTAL MISSION IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ROTARY CLUB OF IBA

Brgy. Danacbunga, Botolan. Zambales Vice Gov. Ramon Lacbain II leads another medical-dental-legal mission in partnership with the Rotary Club of Iba, Zambales War Against Poverty Foundation and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office yesterday July 11 in Dambana at Brgy. Danacbunga, Botolan, Zambales.

There were 193 medical patients and 23 dental patients served.

The medical doctors who rendered their free services are municipal health officers of Botolan Dr. Fernando Igrobay and Dr. Michelle Daes, municipal health officer of Cabangan Dr. Raul Echipare and pediatrician of President Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Hospital Dr. Ederlina Sadhwani while dentists who rendered their free services are Dr. Rosanne Bolasco, Dr. Efren Leal, Jr. and Dr. Herminio Cawalas,

Vice Mayor Benjamin Farin, Jr. of Iba leads the officers and members of Rotary Club of Iba as it president in mobilizing the participation of medical doctors and dentists to this project.

“We are hoping that this joint project between the Rotary Club of Iba and Vice Governor Lacbain who is also the president of the Rotary Club of Downtown Olongapo will continue so we would be able to serve more indigent families in different remote communities of Iba and Botolan who are in need of free medical consultation and medicines”, according to vice mayor Farin.

Vice gov. Lacbain also had the chance to explain to the members of the Rotary Club, the barangay health workers, barangay councilmen and other interested patients about the operations and the procedures in organizing Botika Natin sa Nayon which is also one of the major projects of Zambales War Against Poverty Foundation under the leadership of its president Doreen Macedo.

Lacbain calls on Rotary Club of Iba to join him in his fight against poverty in Zambales by organizing Botika Natin sa Nayon in the town of Iba. He said, “aside from conducting medical-dental missions, we can also cooperate in bringing miraculously priced generic medicines to remote communities through our small community pharmacy project called Botika Natin sa Nayon”.

In the afternoon, the first Botika Natin sa Nayon in the town of Cabangan was launched by vice gov. Lacbain at barangay Camiing. It is now the 99th small community pharmacy organized and maintained by Zambales War Against Poverty Foundation with the support of the Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Department of Health.

Steve Roquet, CEO of St. Stephen Mission Outreach Foundation in California U.S.A. also joined the medical-dental mission and donated $660 to Zambales War Against Poverty Foundation for the operations of eleven (11) Botika Natin sa Nayon.
