City Govt Receives P52K from OBC
The Olongapo Business Club (OBC) turned over P52,000 to the Olongapo City Government last January 14, 2008.
Before the city officials and employees, representatives from OBC personally handed over to Mayor Gordon the city government’s 50% share in the income generated from the Mardi Gars Remix II last November.
Among the OBC representatives present were Linda Lim, Ellen Villar, Jake Escalona, Frank Dulay and Dominador Lorenzo. Mayor Gordon thanked the business club for the additional financial support which will help the city government in the implementation of its programs and projects.
Meanwhile, the turned over cash will be added to the fund generated by the City Fiesta Executive Committee from the 2007 Search for the City Fiesta Queen. Scholars and PhilHealth indigent members of the city will be the particular beneficiaries of the fund raised.
Mardi Gras Remix II was a joint project of the OBC and the City Tourism Office conducted along RM Drive last year.
