CITY GOV’T, PROFESSIONALIZED!

Ikinagalak ni Olongapo City James “Bong” Gordon, Jr. ang pagkakapasa ng ilang mga kawani ng Pamahalaang Lungsod sa Civil Service Examination na isinagawa noong Oktubre ng nakaraang taon.

Sa flag raising ceremony nitong ika-11 ng Pebrero sa Rizal Triangle Multi-Purpose Covered Court ay isa-isang pinaakyat sa entablado ang mga empleado ng city government na nakapasa sa Civil Service Examination bilang pagkilala sa galing na kanilang ipinamalas.

Kabilang sa mga masuwerteng nakapasa ay sina Anna Lucille Cuevas, Edna dela Cruz, Ellaine Queen Jesusa Figuerres, Gerard Anthony Florentino Juico, Ruben Labrador, Jr. Charisa Provido, Beverly Jane Salgado, Myrasol Domacena at Marlon Bravo.

“I am very happy that you were able to pass the Civil Service Examination. Our integrated efforts to professionalize our city government are now bearing fruit. We will continue our review sessions for those of you who also intend to take the examination” pahayag ni Mayor Gordon.

Magugunitang sa inisyatibo ni Mayor Gordon ay regular na nagsasagawa ng mga review sessions ang city government para sa mga kawani nito na nagnanais kumuha ng Civil Service Examination.

Isa sa mga major requirements upang maging eligible at magkaroon ng security of tenure ang mga public servants ay ang maipasa ang pagsusulit na ibinibigay ng Civil Service Commission (CSC). Ang CSC bilang isa sa mga Constitutional Commissions ay binigyang mandato ng kasalukuyang Konstitusyon ng Pilipinas na mangasiwa sa personnel matters ng buong bureaucracy.

Para sa mga nakatakdang kumuha ng Civil Service Examination sa darating na ika-9 ng Marso 2008, makipag-ugnayan lamang sa Personnel’s Office upang makapag-avail ng free review sessions.
