MEDICAL AND OFFICE EQUIPMENT FROM AUSTRALIA
Olongapo City received medical and office equipment from the Rotary Australia World Community Service Limited last February 7, 2008 as part of the organization’s Overseas Aid Project.
Through the efforts of Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr., Olongapo City benefited from the said project of Rotary Australia World Community Service Limited.
Mayor Gordon, First Lady and Zambales Vice Governor Anne Marie Gordon, James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital (JLGMH) Medical Director Arturo Mendoza, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) City Director Eliseo de Guzman, Disaster Management Office (DMO) Head Angie Layug and Government Services (GSO) Head Engr. Victor Bernabe witnessed the arrival of equipment that include wheelchairs, dental and medical supplies and equipment, surgical instruments, computers, printers, fax machines, encyclopedias and other office equipment.
Meanwhile, Mayor Gordon expressed gratitude to the kindness of the Rotary Australia World Community Service Ltd. The donations are essential in the operations of JLGMH, City Health Office (CHO) and the different health centers around the city.
