MALLARI, NEW CITY ENGINEER
Olongapo City Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr. introduced Engr. Aser Malari to the city officials and employees as the new Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the City Engineering’s Office during the flag raising ceremonies at Rizal Triangle Multi-Purpose Center this Monday.
“I appointed Engr. Mallari as our new City Engineer because I am sure that his long experience and extensive knowledge in the field of engineering will be helpful in our goal to better enhance the city’s infrastructure system,” Mayor Gordon said.
Engr. Mallari is a certified specialist of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. (PICE) in the field of Construction Management and Engineering (CME). He has also accreditation from CIAP on Constructors Performance Evaluator (CPE).
Mallari’s extensive exposure and experiences in the field of engineering proves his capability to handle the department Mayor Gordon has entrusted him.
He worked under the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) for three (3) years. He was a consultant in some SBMA projects such as the Subic Bay Port Development Project, Subic Bay Freeport Environment Management Project, Maintenance of Aircraft, Pavement of Subic Bay International Airport, SBMA Annual Pavement and Drainage Maintenance Project and SBMA Proposed New Transportation Building. He also led the Technical Working Group for the Commercialization of New Container Terminals 1 and 2 in Subic Bay Freeport Zone (SBFZ).
Aside from Mallari’s actual experiences in engineering profession, he is also currently teaching engineering courses in New Era University.
Mallari has likewise worked as engineer in different private companies in the country for twenty (20) years.
The newly appointed City Engineer is also a member of engineering-based organizations and institutions like the Association of Structural Engineers of the Philippines, Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc., American Society of Civil Engineers at Research and Education Development Training Institute.
Mallari graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in Tarlac State University in 1988. He earned a Master’s Degree in Science in Engineering in 2003 at Rizal Technological University. He also has fifteen (15) units of Doctor in Philosophy. PAO/jpb
