CITY EMPLOYEES TO RECEIVE HALF OF BONUS IN MAY
Olongapo City Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr. has tasked the City Budget Office to release half of the 13th month pay of the city government employees this May.
In the flag raising ceremonies of city officials and employees at Rizal Triangle Multi-Purpose Center on Monday, Mayor Gordon instructed City Budget Officer Johnny Choa to release the first half of the employees’ 13th month pay.
“I am directing the City Budget Officer to release the first half of the 13th month pay of our city employees not later than May 23, 2008,” Mayor Gordon said.
Mayor Gordon aims to help the parent-city employees with their expenses for the coming school year.
Meanwhile, the city employees thanked Mayor Gordon for having the initiative to release their bonus early.
Through Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Memorandum 2005-6, government employees will receive the first half of their bonus (13th month pay) on May based on their monthly salary from January to April.
