OLD CABALAN INTEGRATED SCHOOL, READY FOR NEXT SCHOOL YEAR
An additional Secondary Public School will welcome high school students in Olongapo City this June as School Year 2008-2009 will be an experimental year for the Old Cabalan Integrated School located in the Old Cabalan Elementary School compound.
Through Resolution No. 52 (Series of 2008) entitled “A Resolution Establishing Old Cabalan Integrated School” which was passed by the City Council and approved by Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr. recently, the new school will become operational this coming school year.
“Ang pagtatag ng Old Cabalan Integrated School ay binatay sa pangangailangan ng mga residenteng buhat sa mga low income families ng barangay na mabigyang pagkakataon na ipasok sa secondary o high school level ang kanilang mga ka-anak,” Mayor Gordon said.
The City Government likewise picture that the establishment of the Old Cabalan Integrated School will significantly accommodate the increasing number of enrollees which in effect will likewise lessen the teacher-student ratio in the different public schools in the city.
It can be recalled that through the initiative of Mayor Gordon and Senator Richard Gordon with the support of the Federation of Fil-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FCCCII), two (2) classrooms with three (3) units were also inaugurated recently.
The said classrooms are now being used by students of Old Cabalan Elementary School.
