P1-B hotel, casino break ground at Clark
CLARK Freeport – The Clark Development Corp. said a P1-billion tourism-related establishment will rise inside the Clark Freeport.
Blue Bonnet Amusement Corp. held groundbreaking rites last Friday signaling the start of the construction of Saint Hiyan Hotel and Casino, said CDC executive vice president Philip Jose Panlilio.
Panlilio said the hotel and the casino will boost the potential of Clark as a magnet for tourism-related investments in Central Luzon.
He said it will also generate employment as att least 600 workers will be hired once it is fully operational.
Richard Kwon, chief executive officer of Blue Bonnet, said the company has done its best to build a casino and hotel here since 2007.
Kwon added that he is pleased to announce that the groundbreaking “has been the result of the support, kind contribution, and continuous efforts” of friends and partners like the CDC.
In December 2005, then CDC president Antonio Ng signed a lease agreement with Blue Bonnet for the P1-billion project. Bernard Galang Journal online
