White Rock Triathlon 2008 is all set to rock
THE most anticipated endurance race in the Philippines is all set to rock-the White Rock Triathlon (WRT) 2008.
On its fifth year running, race organizer Extribe Inc. has committed to a bigger and better edition this year.
Copresented by Enervon-HP, the stage is set for the White Rock Triathlon 2008 on October 4.
White Rock Beach Resort in Subic, Zambales, will again host this premier long-distance race.
The ultimate triathlon endurance race will cover 2 kilometers of ocean swim at White Rock Beach resort, a 91-km cycling ride through Zambales and a 20-km run to Olongapo and Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA).
The logistically demanding event is supported by Coca-Cola, New Balance, Fitness First, David’s Salon and Blue Cross Insurance and the local government and agencies of Olongapo City, the province of Zambales and the SBMA.
As early as now, athletes from all over the country as well as from Singapore, Canada and the United States have signed up for the event.
Extribe Inc. expects ideal weather conditions for the swim and bike portions of the race. The run portion will prove to be most difficult among the three disciplines. It features an undulating road at the hottest time of the day.
