10000 Jobs in Subic through Internet

SBMA (Subic Metropolitan Authority) have pinned their hopes on an online matching system to reach the agency's target of 100,000 new jobs in the free port by 2010.

Armand Arreza, administrator of SBMA said that the system seeks to address the issue of job-skills classification of available manpower developed by WOWCard Inc., a firm that recently launched the first Internet-based job fair in the free port.

WOWCard Inc. president, Victorino Quiton, that this whole job-hunting process has now been reduced to accomplish a form that is uploaded to a database at www.job8s.com, which applicants can avail themselves of free featured services. These include job search, online matching, online forum, data center support service and SMS which tends to text messages about job openings that match one’s qualifications.

With this kind of technology, the goal of 100,000 new jobs by 2010 are achievable
