THIRD WORLD EYE CARE SOCIETY MISSION IN ‘GAPO CONTINUES
The Third World Eye Care Society (TWECS) Canada medical mission in Olongapo City scheduled until November 21, 2008 has helped over three thousand (3000) Olongapeños on their eye care concerns since the group arrived on November 10, 2008.
During the flag raising ceremony on November 17, 2008 at the Rizal Triangle Multi Purpose Center, Dr. Marina Roma-March presented her team of eye care doctors and eye experts.
“On behalf of my team I want to thank you for all your support and help. Special thanks to the Mayor. I want to thank the beautiful people of Olongapo for your patience and hospitality,” said Roma-March, TWECS founder.
TWECS will be offering free eye examinations, consultation eye glasses and eye surgery to 500 people per day until November 21, 2008 at the Rizal Triangle Multi Purpose Center.
Mayor James ‘Bong’ Gordon Jr. thanked Dr. Roma-March and TWECS for helping Olongapeños.
“Palakpakan natin sila kasi this is a good mission and they have come from a long way from Canada to the Philippines,” said Mayor Gordon.
