EAST TAPINAC, WINS MOST OUTSTANDING LUPONG TAGAPAMAYAPA IN REGION III

Barangay East Tapinac, headed by Barangay Captain Ben Franco, was recently awarded as having the Most Outstanding Lupong Tagapamayapa in the entire Region III. Mayor James ‘Bong’ Gordon Jr. and Barangay Captain Franco proudly announced the news during the flag raising ceremony on December 8, 2008 at the Rizal Triangle Multi-Purpose Center.

The award was given by the Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentive Awards (LTIA) for the Highly Urbanized Cities category. Barangay Captain Franco received the award on behalf of East Tapinac on December 4, 2008 at the DILG Office in Maimpis, Pampanga.

“Ito pong natanggap namin ay hindi lang para sa East Tapinac kungdi parangal para sa lahat ng Olongapeno. Pinasasalamatan ko ang ating Mayor James Gordon, si Vice Mayor Cynthia Cajudo at DILG [Department of Interior and Local Government] City Director Eli De Guzman,” Franco said.

“Tayo ang panlaban ng Region III sa buong Pilipinas, sana ay ipanalangin ninyo na manalo tayo,” Franco added.

“Nananalo ang mga barangay natin, it’s getting to be a good habit. Last time yung Barangay Baretto ay naging Hall of Famer at sana sumunod na ang East Tapinac at maging Hall of Famer sa buong bansa,” Mayor Gordon said.
