The Olongapo Business Club (OBC) has donated One Hundred Fifteen Thousand Pesos (P115,000) to the Olongapo City Fiesta Committee 2008. The financial aid is the city’s share from the proceeds of the recently held Mardigras. It was handed over to Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr. during the flag raising ceremony held at the Rizal Triangle Multi-Purpose Covered Court on December 8, 2008 by businessman Bong Pineda on behalf of Sammy del Rosario, president of OBC.

City Fiesta Executive Committee Chairperson Ellen Dabu thanked the Olongapo Business Club for the donation. “ This money will also be withdrawn from the City Fiesta Committee to be donated to the Philippine National Police (PNP) to buy radio communication devices and sets of computers,” Dabu said.

“Muli po nananawagan ako sa lahat ng mga kawani ng ating gobyerno dito sa ating pamahalaang lungsod, iniimbitahan ko po kayong lahat sa mga gagawing activities ng City Fiesta Committee upang maging matagumpay ang pagdiriwang ng City Fiesta 2008,” Dabu added.
