Robbers ransack Winnie Monsod's house
Unidentified suspects ransacked the house of economist and former Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Solita "Winnie" Monsod over the weekend, a radio dzMM report said Monday.
A caretaker said Monsod's house at Kalayaan Drive, Subic Freeport in Zambales was broken into over the weekend. It was not yet known what was taken from the Monsod residence.
Monsod served as Socioeconomic Planning Secretary under President Corazon Aquino and was a co-host of the now defunct TV shows "Debate with Mare and Pare" and "Palaban."
She is the wife of Christian Monsod, a former chairman of the Commission on Elections.
