ENGR. ALVAREZ IS CITY ENGINEER

The Olongapo City Council has affirmed and Mayor James Gordon, Jr. has approved the appointment of Engineer Roberto E. Alvarez as Acting City Government Department Head II (City Engineer).

Engineer Alvarez’ professional experience and educational background fit the qualifications needed for the job.

He began his professional career as a Civil Engineer at Pentagon Construction, then as a Building fit-out Supervisor at Enron Power Operations Company. He became an Engineer Supervisor and a Project Superintendent before he got the job in the city government as a Technical Consultant in 2003.

The city engineer’s role is vital in the implementation of infrastructure projects in coordination with the City Planning Department Officer. His expertise is required to implement various development projects that would benefit the city and the residents.

Engr. Alvarez is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from the University of Manila. He is married to Zenaida M. Alvarez, a teacher of Olongapo City Elementary School, with two children Marian and Moses Rob.
