CITY FIESTA RAFFLE WINNERS REVEALED

The city fiesta raffle has been drawn and winners were announced last March 02, 2009 after the flag raising ceremony at the Rizal Triangle Multi-Purpose Covered Court.

Mayor James Gordon, Jr. and Vice Mayor Cynthia Cajudo picked the winners in the “tambiolo” and City Fiesta 2008 Committee Chairman Ellen Dabu made the announcement of winners before the excited city government employees.

The luckiest employee of the day was a 50-year- old Supply Officer of James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital Ronaldo Dungog who won twenty five thousand pesos (P25,000) for prize.

“Ang swerte nya kasi kalalagay lang nya ng kanyang raffle tickets sa tambiolo,” one of his officemates said.

Meanwhile, 2nd prize winner, Olivia Liscano from Purok 7 New Cabalan, a street cleaner of ESMO was overwhelmed when she heard Dabu announce her name. She won ten thousand pesos (P10,000).

Melvyn Malit got the 3rd prize of five thousand pesos (P5,000). Malit, 30 , single, works as Admin. Assistant III at the Olongapo City Livelihood and Cooperative Development Office. “Hindi ko ini-expect na ako ang mananalo,” Malit said.

Dabu expressed appreciation to all who supported the 2008 Olongapo City Fiesta especially those who helped in the preparation and implementation of the activities. The proceeds of the 2008 City Fiesta dubbed as “Bayanihang Gapo” will go to the Olongapo City Scholars and Indigent Philhealth Members.

Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr. hand over the envelope to Ronaldo Dungog who won the P25,000 first prize in the 2008 City Fiesta raffle draw last March 2, 2009 at the Rizal Triangle Multi-Purpose Covered Court together with Vice Mayor Cynthia Cajudo, 2008 City Fiesta Committee Chair Ellen Dabu , Councilors Elmo Aquino and Edwin Piano.
