FILE INCOME TAX EARLY

The Bureau of Internal Revenue Regional District (BIR) in Olongapo is reminding Olongapeños to file their income tax returns as soon as possible prior to the April 15 deadline.

BIR Revenue District Office 18 (RDO 18) has set up an income tax filing center at the ground floor of the City Hall Complex to cater to the needs of taxpayers who will file their income tax returns for year 2008.

April 15 and the preceding days are the times when businesses and individuals troop to BIR offices and banks around the country to pay and file their income tax returns.

“As much as possible, the public should pay early in order to avoid the hassle,” Gordon said. “Taxes are the source of income of the nation, so we all must pay our dues,” Gordon added.

Also, considering Lent and the impending long holiday break, taxpayers can enjoy a more relaxing vacation and a more meaningful Holy Week by filing early their annual income tax returns.

Apart from the tax filing center at the City Hall Complex, the BIR Office at Pag-Asa Market in Olongapo is also accepting returns daily, Mondays to Fridays as well as several banks in the city. PAO - CHAY
