PNP ENTRANCE AND PROMOTIONAL EXAMS IN MAY

The National Police Commission Regional Office has sought the assistance of Olongapo City Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr. in informing residents of Olongapo of the PNP entrance and promotional exams which will take place on May 31, 2009 nationwide. The filing of application forms has started last March 20, 2009 and will end on April 17, 2009.

Applicants need to comply with the following requirements: filled-up application form, index card, three (3) recent and identical 1” x 1” colored pictures with white background and with complete name tag and pay the p400.00 the examination fee. Aside from these, applicants must also submit two (2) legal size window envelopes with nine pesos (P9.00) worth of mailing stamps, transcript of scholastic records or diploma from CHED-accredited schools and birth certificate issued by the Local Civil Registrar or NSO.

For the promotional exams of those who are already in the PNP service, they have to submit an original or certified true copy of attested appointment and special order and certificate of completion of training.

The PNP Entrance Examination is open to civilians who are degree holders, not more than 30 years old, and measures 5 ft. 4 inches for males and 5 ft. 2 inches for females. Police Officers I (PO1) whose appointments are temporary and without appropriate eligibility may also take the Special Qualifying Exams.

Police Examination Fees are as follows:
• PNP Entrance - Php400.00
• Senior Police Officer - Php450.00
• Police Officer - Php400.00
• Police Inspector - Php500.00
• Police Superintendent - Php600.00

National Police Commission Regional Office 3, Camp Olivas, San Fernando City, Pampanga will be accepting applications on a first come first serve basis until April 17, 2009.
