Bb. Olongapo Swimsuit Competition reveals candidates’ loveliness

This year’s candidates of Bb. Olongapo Beauty Pageant candidates wowed the audience of the Swimsuit Competition held at Ocean View Beach Resort last September 5, 2009.

Giving justice to their bikinis, the candidates posed and treaded on the ramp with their heads high, exuding grace and confidence of a true Olongapeña beauty.

“The maiden who will be crowned as this year’s Bb. Olongapo will officially represent the city to various beauty competitions and to the prestigious Bb. Pilipinas pageant,” said Mayor James “Bong” Gordon who graced the said event together with Olongapo First Lady and Zambales Vice-Governor Anne Marie Gordon.

The board of judges led by Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Deputy Administrator for Tourism Raul Marcelo together with businessman Molly Guevarra, Smart Telecom representative Joseph Bernales, Reyes Haircutter representative Irene Austin, and reigning Bb. Olongapo for Tourism Joy Anne Cornejo had a tough time choosing among the exquisite contenders.

Candidate No. 7 Maria Theresa A. Tagorio of Brgy. East Bajac-Bajac received a special sponsorship cash reward of 40,000 pesos from a Japanese national who was a part of the audience.

Meanwhile, the “Best in Swimsuit” victor will be announced at the Grant Pageant Night that will be held on October 24, 2009 at the Olongapo City Convention Center (OCCC).
