ALAY LAKAD all set tomorrow

After a successfull marathon this morning, another activity lined-up for tomorrow morning is expected to draw huge crowd as participants of this year's walk-for-a-cause will assemble 5:30 am at Rizal Triangle and walk towards the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center (SBECC) wherein the Execom will hold an awarding ceremony for exceptional participants, highest contributor, biggest delegation, most disciplined group, most colorful group, youngest participant and the chairman’s award.

Aside from the Alay Lakad and donation boxes placed in different business establishments around the city, additional funds came from donations made by the Department of Education (Deped) personnel and PTCA members, government officials, barangays, civic organizations, business establishments and likewise from raffle tickets, t-shirt printing and social bingo.
Obtained funds from different Alay Lakad activities are channeled by the CSWDO into pro-poor projects like scholarships of beneficiaries, capability trainings and livelihood projects.

Certificates of recognitions will also be awarded by Mayor Gordon to 5 outstanding individuals from the organization who greatly contributed to the foundation’s cause.

The 2009 Alay-Lakad Executive Committee (Execom) is led by Chairman Abner Santos of Lions Club International, District 301-D1
