Banicain fish port opens in Zambales

The opening of the most awaited scenario in the barangay was the New Banicain fish port finally happened. It was attended by residents, teachers, students, city government department heads and the presence of City Mayor James Gordon, Jr, and First Lady Anne Marie Gordon, who just arrived from jog-inspection.

During the affair, the opening salvo of Barangay Captain Elizabeth Batapa, of New Banicain, " in comparison with other barangay in the city, her area of responsibility is better of with the blessing of rich aquatic resources that will bring prosperity among her constituents."

The New Banicain Fish Port was the first of its kind in the city, with the anticipation of augmenting the income among entrepreneurs, while livelihood on the other hand among nearby residents.

The event was spearheaded by City Mayor James Gordon, Jr.,and First Lady Anne Marie Gordon along with city, barangay officials while Rev. Fr. Paul Lizada of Columban Church, ribbon cutting and the blessing backed up by the jolly musical orchestra rendered by the Banicain Elementary School students. In the speech of the City Mayor he quoted that " the barangay residents must protect the facility as legacy during the upcoming generation. More so, to keep the river clean, for it will generate livelihood among residents.
