Oplan Sumvac launched in C. Luzon

CAMP OLIVAS -- In line with the observance of Lent, the Central Luzon Regional Police Office (CLRPO) recently launched “Oplan Sumvac” to provide safety for the public during this time when there is an influx of commuters coming from Metro Manila and other provinces.

Central Luzon Regional Police Director Alejandro Lapinid has directed all provincial and city police offices to conduct checkpoints particularly in major thoroughfares.

According to Senior Inspector Jhoanna Ponseca-Rosales, CL public information officer, Oplan Sumvac (summer vacation) aims to intensify security measures for public safety.

With the implementation of Oplan Sumvac is the establishment of motorists’ assistance centers (MACs) in case of emergencies or accidents.

She said established MACs are located along San Vicente, Apalit; Olongapo-Gapan Road, Arayat; Sta. Barbara, Bacolor; Sitio Control Pasig, Candaba; San Matias junction, Guagua; Golanco intersection in Floridablanca; Sta. Cruz, Lubao COMPAC1; Sto. Domingo, Minalin; Barangay Cangatba, Porac; OG Road, Carworld, City of San Fernando; San Luis Bridge, San Luis; San Simon Toll Exit; Mabalacat-Dau and Sta Ines Bamban Exit; Poblacion, Macabebe; San Roque, Magalang; Kalsadang Bayu, Masantol; Parian, Mexico; municipal hall Sasmuan; OG Road, Sta. Ana; San Vicente, Sta. Rita and Mac Arthur Road, Sto. Tomas.
